Equipped with state-of-the-art measuring equipment, ophthalmologists first interview the patient, then carry out the appropriate examination. This generally includes :

• Visual acuity on the refraction unit
• Slit lamp or OCT examination of the anterior segment
• Measurement of eye pressure with an air tonometer
• Posterior segment examination with OCT or ophthalmoscope
